Arto Lindsay, pop musician, audio provocateur and artist, will present the first movement of the performance series SYMPHONY, entitled CAST. Lindsay has made a lifelong habit of traversing geographical and musical borders. He was born in the United States and raised in Brazil during the heyday of that country’s pointedly eclectic Tropicália movement of the 1960s. Lindsay forged an international reputation as a songwriter, producer and musician whose work is as seductive as it is challenging.
In CAST Arto Lindsay filled the gallery with sound, dripping and pouring his music into the walls, in the corners and on the floors of the space, where it was recorded in situ and played back for one week as an installation.
